Catba Pod Hostel & Rooftop Bar - Dong Khe Sau

We absolutely loved our stay at this centrally located hostel in Cat Ba Island. the pods were surprisingly spacious and spotlessly clean, perfect for both adults and children. the bathrooms were lovely and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of tours and even offer discounts for guests. the rooftop bar was a favorite spot of ours, with a super chill atmosphere and great cocktails. a 5-star experience!

Catba Pod is a fantastic hostel with a prime location right on the sea front. The rooftop offers amazing views of the sunset, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The beds in the dorms are comfortable and come equipped with privacy curtains, lights, and storage. One standout feature was the really good service provided by V, were pretty good to assist with everything from organizing tours to retrieving misplaced belongings. The sunset boat trip organized by the hostel was a highlight of our stay, with the guide Ryan being fluent in English and providing a nice experience. The convenient location of the hostel was an added bonus, with everything within easy reach.

While the locker was not big enough for my backpack, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall positive experience.

I had a fantastic stay at a hostel in Cat Ba with an amazing view from the bar. The staff were friendly and helped me book an unforgettable tour of Halong Bay. The location was perfect, right in the center of the island, and I even got discounts at local restaurants. The hostel was clean and my room had a beautiful view from the balcony. The bed was comfortable, and although the towels were a bit old, they still did the job. The breakfast was decent, and the coffee at the cafe downstairs was amazing. Despite the noise in the evenings, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay overall. I would definitely recommend this hostel for its location, friendly staff, and stunning bar view. I had a great experience and would stay here again.

The view from my room was fine - I could see the sparkling sea right from my balcony. The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the bathroom had excellent water pressure. I was really impressed! The central location was perfect, with plenty of things to do nearby. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Cat Ba Island.

The staff at this hostel were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with spacious beds and a beautiful view. We also enjoyed the free breakfast at the hostel's restaurant, it was delicious. The location of the hostel was perfect, right in the center and within walking distance to all the attractions, restaurants, and tour agencies. we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend staying here.

That on a couple of nights, we had some noisy roommates who were talking loudly late at night and early in the morning. It would have been great if there was better enforcement of quiet hours in the dorm rooms.

Great value for money and unbeatable location! Helpful staff, spacious AC rooms, and comfortable XL pods for two. Best spot in downtown area, with amazing views and daily room cleaning. Happening cafe downstairs with tasty breakfast and awesome coffee. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed the comfortable and spacious room with a balcony that had an amazing view. It was the perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. the staff were professional and organized, helping us book a fantastic trip around the nearby bay.

The breakfast service was incredibly slow, even when the restaurant wasn't busy. It was frustrating because my friends and I had to leave early for our day trips, and we saw other guests missing out on breakfast because they had waited for a long time and their trips were about to start.

I had a fantastic stay at a hostel in the heart of Cat Ba. The location couldn't have been better, with plenty of food, bars, and massages nearby. The staff were helpful and always available, providing a convenient WhatsApp number for communication. My room was the largest I've had during my travels, with a fine view overlooking the bay. The bathroom was spacious and the room had ample storage and even a fridge. I loved it! there was a great tour company right next door that organized boat tours to Ha Long Bay.

The best hostel ever! Tidy rooms, comfy beds, and good AC. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop bar had the best drinks. the staff was friendly and helpful, providing all the information we needed for a complete trip.

The hostel is new, so there were a few minor issues. the fan in the bathroom was a bit noisy, and there was a slight smell in the private room.
